Pilates classes are based on the original mat work exercise developed by Joseph Pilates, which is a unique system of stretching and strengthening, resulting in a body that is stronger and better balanced. It develops body awareness, improving and changing the bodies postural and alignment habits and increasing flexibility and ease of movement. Pilates releases stress and improves posture.
The climate controlled studio is designed to bring in light creating balance and calm to the space. Our small classes are limited to 6 people to ensure you get the personal attention you deserve, whether a complete beginner or more advanced in your practice, we endeavour to help you to get the most from every session.
The MELT Method is a simple self-treatment technique that reduces chronic pain and helps you stay healthy, youthful and active for a lifetime. Just 10 minutes of MELT three times a week is all you need to reduce the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living. This revolutionary approach is backed by the latest science and acclaimed by hundreds of thousands of devoted MELTers!
New research has revealed the missing link to pain-free living; a balanced nervous system and healthy connective tissue. These two components work together to provide your body architectural support and optimal mind-body communication. Manual therapist Sue Hitzmann has transformed ground-breaking neurofascial science and hands-on therapies into a one-of-a-kind treatment method called MELT. Using specialised techniques, a soft body roller and four different small balls, MELT rehydrates the connective tissue, rebalances the nervous system and restores space to compressed joints.
MELT is for anyone who wants to slow down the aging process and live pain-free. For anyone who wants to stay active, mobile and independent - MELT is a must.
MELT is also for active younger adults and athletes who want to maintain a fit, healthy body and achieve optimal performance without debilitating wear and tear.

Julie is the only Level 2 qualified MELT Method instructor in Hampshire and runs Introductory Workshops and Classes.
Having suffered with chronic back and hip pain following a total hip replacement, Julie Ann discovered MELT and was amazed at how this simple self-treatment technique got her out of pain and off all pain medication, which she had been taking for a number of years. Wanting to help others in a similar situation Julie Ann trained with the creator of MELT, Sue Hitzmann, in the US to become a MELT instructor and has completed the Hand & Foot, Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.
Julie Ann has also assisted Sue Hitzmann as a ‘teaching assistant’ at instructor training in the UK.
The MELT Introductory Workshop is a pre-requisite to taking MELT classes and is a 1.5 hour session to take you through what MELT is and how it can help you. Working with the specialised MELT balls and soft roller, Julie will show you the key techniques used.
