Pilates classes are based on the original mat work exercise developed by Joseph Pilates, which is a unique system of stretching and strengthening, resulting in a body that is stronger and better balanced. It develops body awareness, improving and changing the bodies postural and alignment habits and increasing flexibility and ease of movement. Pilates releases stress and improves posture.
The climate controlled studio is designed to bring in light creating balance and calm to the space. Our small classes are limited to 6 people to ensure you get the personal attention you deserve, whether a complete beginner or more advanced in your practice, we endeavour to help you to get the most from every session.
Victoria Corbett is a level III Personal Trainer and Stott Pilates Instructor. She has been teaching for 10 years and brings energy, warmth and humour to her classes, alongside her attention to detail ensuring each client is getting the most of the exercises.
Victoria uses bands, weights, rollers and all kinds of different sized balls within her classes, each class being different from the next. If you want an outdoor experience, Victoria also teaches the Woodland Workout at Damson Hill, Bishops Waltham.
Emma is a Level 3 Pilates instructor with Pre and Post Natal training. She has a back ground in the fitness, massage and beauty industries with a special interest in improving physical and mental wellbeing.
Having endured years of back problems herself following an injury and pregnancy complications, 6 years ago she finally attended a Pilates class and has never looked back. Experiencing the huge improvement in her own physical health has made Emma very passionate about the benefits of Pilates.
Emma’s classes will focus on improving posture, core muscle strength and pelvic floor muscles, using a variety of small equipment to make the participants feel strong and lean. The Prenatal classes will aim to keep you mobile and relaxed during your pregnancy while focusing on your pelvic floor muscles and breathing. The Postnatal classes gently help to strengthen the muscles weakened by pregnancy (core and pelvic floor) regain muscle tone and de-stress.
